Custom made room divider screens in a contemporary fitness interior
For the interior of Workoutclub in Rotterdam, interior architect Linda Lagrand was looking for a solution that would subtly divide spaces without closing them off. The answer came in the form of custom made room divider screens by Bloomming: the Facet hanging room divider. The club combines movement, relaxation and social interaction in one open environment. That asked for a room divider screen that feels light, refined and flexible — visually present, yet never dominant.

Facet’s modular design allowed the Lagrand design team to carefully fine-tune the balance between openness and separation. The custom made room divider screen creates a natural transition between the workout area and the leisure zone, while preserving visual connection and daylight flow — an essential quality in an interior designed for energy, movement and wellbeing.
Playing with transparency and light
What makes these custom made room divider screens stand out is their dynamic transparency. Each individual facet can rotate, allowing sightlines and light to be subtly adjusted over time. Rather than being fixed, the screen can evolve with the space — shaped by the users, the team and the rhythms of daily life. In the Workoutclub interior, this results in a calm yet lively pattern that continuously shifts with perspective and movement, adding a refined architectural layer to the club’s modern, understated aesthetic.
Made to order, designed to last
Facet is made to order, ensuring every custom made room divider screen fits its space precisely. For this project, the divider was finished in White and suspended with adjustable-length stainless steel wire ceiling suspensions. These ultra-fine cables allow on-site fine-tuning during installation, without added costs or lead time — a practical detail that is appreciated during installation. Because the screen consists of separate modules, it also offers long-term flexibility: adaptable, durable, and timeless.
